How can we help?

If NAS Photos & Stories is not connecting or something does not look right, the answers below cover the most common issues.

Email support

The app cannot connect to my NAS

Confirm that the address includes the correct protocol and port, such as https://nas.example.com:5001. Your iPhone or iPad must be able to reach that address on its current network.

My certificate is not accepted

A valid TLS certificate is the safest option. If your NAS uses a self-signed certificate, the sign-in screen can allow it, but only enable this option for a NAS and network you trust.

Two-step verification is enabled

Sign in with your normal credentials and enter the one-time code when requested. Enabling “Remember Me” lets the App use the trusted-device token supplied by your NAS.

Photos or albums are missing

Check that the Synology account has permission to access the relevant Personal Space or Shared Space content in Synology Photos, then refresh the App.

How are my credentials stored?

The session identifier is stored in the iOS Keychain. Your password is stored there only when you choose “Remember Me.” Read the Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the Stories purchase screen and select “Restore Purchases.” Make sure the device is signed in to the Apple Account that made the original purchase.
